okay, so for some reason- even though I have to take a handful of vitamins a day- the hair on my head is falling out! I brush my hair and literally it's like almost a handful at a time. I don't have bald spots or anything but I'm shedding like a Husky in the summer! THEN my belly hair won't STOP growing!! I wish that's what would fall out!! I feel like a furry man beast! I've heard if you shave it you will have to deal with it forever but if you leave it alone it will go away after you have the baby? Idk if it's true but it makes shaving a LOT less tempting! So is anyone else having this issue? Is your hair on your head falling out but it seems like the hair everywhere else is growing out of control?!
Re: UGH!! Hair!!
LOL! I know exactly what you mean by "furry man beast". There are getting to be places I can't reach very well...and others I can't bend long enough to get shaved good. I HATE the tummy hair. Yuck!
I'm a hairstylist and can tell you from seeing my clients that the hair falling out issue usually only gets worse after the baby is born. Oh...the things we women go through!
My hair is not only falling out, but it is also drying out. I used to have super greasy hair that had to be washed daily. Now I can go three days without needing a wash.
As for the belly hair, I'm Native American so I've always dealt with excess body hair.
My hair is always falling out but it's much more dry and lifeless now - skin too. So much for that "glow"... And mine's growing more pretty much everywhere else like my belly and chin. It's so embarassing and annoying! But it's all supposed to go back to normal after the hormones balance back out.
This is my 3rd pregnancy and this is the first time I have experienced the hair loss during the pregnancy -
With my first two, I barely lost any hair during the pregnancy but at about 3 mos post-partum, I lost TONS of hair (to the point that I had noticeable bald spots, well to me at least they were noticeable, probably not to a stranger). With all 3 pregnancies I have had the excessive body hair and would usually shave or cut off the belly hair (I would end up with like 3 super long ones, yucky!)
The one thing that I am hoping is that because we are suffering through the hair loss now, that that means that post-partum we wont have to deal with the hair loss.
Oh, and to answer your question - YES! The belly hair just dissapears after you have the baby. It never grew back after I shaved it once post-partum.
THANK GOD LADIES!! I have been dying to pluck and pull and shave but have been too scared to!! lol thanks so much!!
