When to test when AF is irregular

DH and I have been TTC recently. Problem is ever since I got my AF back, she is very irregular. My cycle lasts from 24 - 32 + days. I keep thinking I am late only for it to be one of my long cycle months and then I get disappointed. 

My last cycle was on July 2nd and I am trying to figure out when to test. DH says to wait until at least the 7th. (although I think he picked this day because we are spending a one night get away in Key West on the 6th) And I just wanna POAS every day!  

What would you do?

    I would wait until the 7th.. unless I had some pregnancy symptoms.. Then I would test earlier. I KNOW how hard it is to wait.. but you don't want to waste sticks either.

    I am thinking I will wait to, but then I have the guilt of knowing that I will be in the Keys and will want to have a few drinks to celebrate and what if......

    Ugh. Thanks for letting me vent a little and offering some advice.

    How long was the longest time between AFs? I'd test a few days after that number.... or just wait for the bloat.

    Longest was 32 or 34 days. Gonna wait til the 7th. Fingers crossed ladies!!
