Fulltime/partime Stay at home Moms: How do you earn money??

Hi,

I am considering becoming a stay at home mom after my baby boy Carter is born (EDD 11/7/11)! However my husband and I have have agreed that if I do stay home then I need to find some way to bring in some sort of income...

I need some ideas and to see what other moms are doing that are local! I have had several family members mention watching an extra child or two a week to earn that extra cash, especially since I have always been around to help raise my siblings and my neices! I was always the go to girl at my church growing up when someone needed a baby sitter! I was just good with children and I loved it! Now I am having my own and I am just trying to get some ideas on what other Moms do.

I've thought about getting a part time job but the position I currently have does not offer part time positions.

House cleaning and Ebay are some things a few stay at home girl friends have mentioned as well...

Any ideas are much appreciated! Thanks so much!

Watching another child sounds like a good idea but I would say wait until your baby is sleeping through the night so you aren't sleep deprived.

I personally keep so busy watching my daughter and getting errands and house stuff done that I'm too busy to get anything else done. Especially since she's crawling, she's always on the move While she's sleeping I do some online surveys but they are definitely not consistent and you can't make even a partial living off them (I use Mysurvey.com among others).

I know the financial burden being a SAHM can be, we try to keep the balance everyday Good luck, hope you find something that works!
