Do you keep baby stuff boxes?

These massively huge boxes are taking over my basement. I guess I thought in case of recall I might need them to check something or send something back but there is just no more room. High chair box, swing box, 3 carseat boxes, jumper box, on and on. Can I throw them away? Is there a number or something I should get off them first and then throw away? Thank you!!

    The bigger items usually come with registration cards so that you will be contacted by the company if their is a recall or anything like that. I kept the box for the carseat so that it would be better stored. You might want to keep the swing box if it is easily taken apart so that it can be stored without taking up as much room later on.

    I got rid of the boxes, I kept receipts and directions. The instrucion booklets usually have the registration information and stuff like that on it.  I have one shoe box size tupperware container with all of that in it.

    I only keep boxes for stuff I want to resell, it keeps the value up. If I kept the instructions & registration cards, and sent in the warranty card, I ditched the boxes after I was sure we wouldn't need to return things. We kept the swing box to store it in later, but our jumper will never fold back down, the high chair was cheap anyways, and I'd rarely re-use a carseat, so we ditched all of that.

    Ok good they are goin! I won't be reselling anything for a while and I kept all of my manuals in a shoebox. I will have to check on keeping the swing one. TY!

    Unless you are taking it back to the store you don't need the box. I had to get a fisher price item replaced. They required me to send back a specific piece of the item in a small box (not the one it came in). Most items have a cereal number on them, although they didn't need that either. So I think you will be fine without them.

    We don't have room for ANY boxes, so as soon as I know an item works I throw the box out. I have a bin with all the owner's manuals and have mailed in the registration cards on everything. I know with FP products, there is usually a code etched onto the product somewhere so no need to keep the box around.
