teething.. milestones, etc?
N's teething something fierce and all she seems to want to do is nurse.
I've tried :
giving her paci back
soothing without picking up
picking and rocking (she gets more pissed)
and then nursing.. she falls right back to sleep.
then tonight she's been up again after two hours... I know she can't be hungry, just wants to comfort nurse.
Do you give in and just comfort nurse or what's your strategy?
Thanks!
Re: How do you deal with night wakings due to..
I agree with PP. When we were nursing, E almost ALWAYS needed it to fall back asleep...and if that's what he needed, that's what he got. (now that we bottle feed, we still give him a bottle at night whenever he can't get back to sleep on his own)
If comfort is what she needs, don't feel bad about giving it to her. It'll make for a happier baby
This (except we use Advil).
When it comes to teething or him not feeling well, I always nurse. It hurts and they want comfort (imo) and like pps said, it will pass. If I know he's teething and having a hard time getting back to sleep (nursing and being fine but then crying when you put him down) I'll give some camillia drops to help with the pain.
