DS falls into such a deep sleep sometimes, sometimes mid-session, how do I wake him, any tricks? We've tried massage, tickling, damp cloth, changing his diaper, etc. Some of that works sporadically, any other good tricks?

This. When I moved from every 3 hours to on demand feedings, my life got so damn easy.
Right now, she'll wake once or twice during the night to feed (and she wakes me up when it's time to eat, so I don't need to worry about setting an alarm.) I've noticed that if she cluster feeds in the evening, I can count on longer stretches at night. It's fine if I'm doing nothing that evening except for bumping/FB/TV/staring at the wall, but a pain if I'm out and about.
In a way, I'm kinda dreading that wedding...as I know I'm going to spend the entire time with a small child attached to my boob. I guess I had better figure out how to efficently nurse in public. And, if we get together while I'm up there in the afternoon/evening, be prepared to be introduced to my nips.
On a side note, a diaper change always wakes DD up. Which sucks, because she falls asleep after most feedings, but during the feeding, I hear an assplosion sometimes, so I feel compelled to change her after the feeding, which wakes her up when I'd much rather sleep. This tends to happen the most at 4a for some reason.
