I played mommy today

I watched my nephews today. One is 7 and the other is 10 months. The youngest one wanted me to hold him all day and would only fall asleep with his head on my shoulder or my chest. I loved it because I felt like I was playing mommy all day but when he left I felt really sad. I don't want to "play" mommy...I want someone to call me mommy. Sad

i feel your pain...i run a daycare, and it kills me when the babies fall asleep on me, it's the best feeling in the world, but it kills me that i don't get to take them home, they're not my baby sleeping on me...

but hopefully one of these days!

I understand exactly what your going through. We kept my neice, 4 and nephew, 6 for six days last week. I live in MS. Their mom lives in OH and my brother "their dad" lives in las vegas with his new wife and child. After six nights of being with them 24/7, I felt like we had the perfect little family. I loved listening to my nephew reading books for the first time before bed. The best part was early in the mornings when they first woke up. They would come cuddle with me on the couch and just be so sweet and loving. I loved every minute of time with them. But like you, I want someone to call me mommy too!
