I would let it be. If she puts her hands in her mouth she could ingest it, which would not be good! Im pretty sure everyone does this at some point or another.

I've done this twice, and since i cut DS' nails while he is asleep, I also wake him up which further pisses him off. My cousin recommended that we use a cuticle trimmer because they are sharper and you can see what you are doing much more easily...so far so good!
been there, done that. i will only use a file now when she's kind of groggy. works fine and since the nails are so thin, it doesn't take but a few minutes.
DH did that the other day and I think he died a little inside. I think clipping Henry's nails is the one thing I'm actually really good at for some reason - it's like a stealth mission! I don't know what kind of clipper you use, but i have the Summer Infant kind that's almost more like scissors instead of traditional clippers. I tried baby nail clippers prior to this and there was just no way I could do it. Just leave her little fingers be, she'll be okay!
