We covered everything that came back from the RPL which wasn't much. The doctor's opinion is that nothing in the RPL had good odds to have caused our loss... but he'd like to be as aggressive with treatment as he was with testing since the "treatments" for my two questionable results are simple and have minimal side effects apart from the annoyance of taking pills.
So I'm taking a prescription folic acid supplement twice daily, a baby aspirin once daily.... and a prozac. Because I had a panic attack pretty much the instant I walked back into the clinic. And it wasn't the first.
So I asked if he had anything in his bag of tricks for keeping me from crawling up the walls in panic every time I walked into the clinic. So a month of something to keep me calmer while on the BCP lead up to FET with the understanding that if the panic persists- I should take some time off and make sure I'm really ready to get back to this. Which seemed like a reasonable compromise.
On the plus side, I did a check of my medicine cabinet and I've got enough meds to make it through the entire FET to beta without buying more (we did a huge order of everything a couple of days before the miscarriage) so I'm set once we have a calendar.
I think I'm going to need a bigger pill box though.

I'm sorry you didn't get more of an explanation and I'm glad your RE is so supportive, even if he didn't have many answers. The only comment I have about the prozac (and I'm someone who took Zoloft for seven years straight, and I'm generally a fan of psychotropics for those who need them, so this isn't a criticism of the drug per se) is that, as you may already know (I don't mean to lecture you) it can take 6-8 weeks, generally, to have much of an effect. That's why often xanax gets prescribed short-term for anxiety while a drug like prozac or zoloft etc. is building up in the bloodstream, though of course one doesn't want to be taking xanax while TTC because it's a class D drug. And then you have to wean off prozac/zoloft etc. slowly too, if you decide to, though you don't absolutely have to while pregnant (they tend to want it reduced in the 3rd trimester if at all possible, though it isn't for many women who do just fine).
I guess I'm just wondering if, given your timeline of a month to the FET, your doctor couldn't give you something like a beta-blocker for the anxiety rather than a psychotropic. Or acupuncture? Just a thought.
I so hope for you that the FET is it!
The suitability for early pregnancy is exactly why he wanted to try this one first. If it genuinely helps (and I've always been an anxious patient- this last cycle flipped me from healthy amounts of anxiety to unhealthy)- he'll extend the prescription to get me through the FET and I can talk about doses or weaning off with my OB. If I'm still having panic attacks though- he won't try to adjust my dosage and will advise that I wean off or talk to a psych about adjusting the dosage while I take a break. It's not long- but he's not the doc for long term management of psych meds. (Which, as someone who's done the psychiatrist thing before, I totally agree with)
He specifically said no to valium/xanax (I asked since I'd rather not be on something I have to take every day)- too much risk of being habit forming. Which I can understand. I was surprised that he was willing to give me anything actually. Hopeful that it will help- but a little surprised.
