I loved Debbie Gibson in the 80's. I thought she was amazing. I want to see her in concert!

  • I am amused that she is back to using "Debbie", since she insisted on going by "Deborah" for a while.  I always admired the fact that she wrote and produced all of her own music.

msn has an interview with her posted today:

  • A bunch of my friends are seeing Journey, Foreigner and Night Ranger tonight in Chicago.

This got me thinking.. is it just marketing to the baby boomers to trot out the old 80s bands all the time?  You don't see this with bands from the 70s that much or even 90s bands.  I mean, where's Grand Funk Railroad these days???

There doesn't seem to be anyone arou-ound...

    I think we're alone now

The beating of our hearts is the only sound.

(Admit it- it's in your head now, too!)

The Village People still perform! As does Earth, Wind & Fire.
