hmmm... what to do?

We're sitting in a restaurant, having finished dinner, wondering how to make the best use of the last 1 1/2 hours of our free time (we have a babysitter tonight). The only thing that really sounds good is sleep, we're so exhausted. We actually discussed sneaking in the back door and going to take a nap, lol (we'd text the babysitter, of course)! Clearly we're out of practice at this date night thing. What do you do when you have a sitter?

  • have a not so fance romp in the car like old times... or  go to your fave spot (lovers point type area) and just relax and nap ... there.

thats what I would do ??? but we have a ways to go on the babysitter part.

    Good idea, J! Smile

We haven't gotten out much, and the couple of times we did, we saw a movie and didn't have any extra time (we don't have a babysitter per se - we've made arrangements a couple of times with his once-a-week nanny to come in for extra hours). If we did have extra time, a nap would be excellent!

  • I'd fine a hotel room that rents by the hour ;-)

Umm...date night? what's that? lol!  Actually, we'd likely go to a bar and have a drink.  Preferably a bar with a performer or something.  Enjoy a drink and then home.

  • This made me LOL because

    1) you were posting on your date

    and

    2) We have been there and done that so many times. :)  Once a month we drop the kids off at Parents Night Out from 6-9. After we have dinner, we are always at a loss of what to do for that last 60-90 minutes. Like you we never know what to do and would rather pick up the kids and go home to bed (but they rock climb from 8:30-9 and they hate to miss it.) We have been known to troll Target either to go shoppng or just to walk around. Sad.

Hope you at least had fun and get some good sleep.
