Who all gets a vote on your boobs?

We bought a crib out of the classifieds, when we went to pick it up the wife mentioned that she also had a breast pump if I was interested. I was, but then her husband advised that I should try and breast feed without a pump first as the pump can the really painful.

I guess when you are expecting everyone gets to vote on what you do with your boobs.

    I know! We did end up getting it from them, but now I can't stop thinking that the guy used it.

    Wow, that's odd. I have to say, I don't know if I would buy a used breast pump.

    I went back and forth on it for a while, then I went to the store to price some things and the breast pumps here start at $500. We were flabbergasted. His wife did say she only used it for about a week.

    I hear pain wise it's compairable...just something you get used to. Being used, just make sure you take the proper precautions for cleaning and disinfecting. Also, some of the smaller attachments are less expensive and can be worth getting your own.

    I saw you already purchased, just make sure to have it cleaned before you need it. There are nooks & crannys that can harbor bacteria and possibly mold. A friend was borrowing one and the lactation consultant noticed it had not been properly cleaned after last uses. Not to freak you out, but I just want you to be aware.
