Baby Bottles

I am going through DS's baby items and just bagged up tons of bottles....if memory serves me right, bottles from 2006 still contained BPA?  I hate to throw out like 20 bottles and tons of nipples....

Would you get new ones if your bottles were 6 years old?  My intuition says yes.

Re: Baby Bottles

  • I would...just in case.

  • I'd replace everything probably.  Unless they were playtex drop-ins. Then I'd probably hang on to the bottles but get new nipples.

We got so much use out of our bottles when DS was an infant, that I was thinking about replacing them... even if most are bpa free (we had a few that weren't)
  • I would too.  I just bought new nipples for our Dr. Brown's bottles and I swear those probably cost more than half as much as the whole bottle anyway...
  • Thanks everyone!

  • What brand are they? I'd call the company and see if they will offer you anything to get a BPA-free version of new ones. I know Dr. Brown offered to trade out their bottles for BPA-free when all that news press was out in 2008-2009.
