There's a "poop specialist" nurse up in Mukilteo. She's the one you see if your child has issues like this. My BFF's now 5 year old had super bad poop issues... he's been on laxatives since he was about 1 year old. He started withholding his poop and getting really backed up. His stomach was always bloated like a pregnant woman. He was a mess. He ended up getting some thing where basically he killed the nerves in his colon and stretched it out so bad that he really couldn't feel if he needed to poop or something like that. It got really really bad. Anyway, every doc they saw referred them up to this woman in Mukilteo. And she has since met other moms with kids with the same problem who also went to this poop lady. I can get her contact info if you're interested. He's a little over 5 and is SOOOO much better now.

Jill, could you share her contact info with me? I have a friend with a 7 year old who is having some major issues with withholding, constipation, fissures, and then pooping his pants. The pedi isn't too overly concerned, but my friend IS and is seeking another opinion... I mean, the poor kid poops his pants and then is too embarrassed to say anything so then sits in it for hours
