May have to go back to work :(

I have been a sahm since ds was born but we got a letter from the mortgage company today that our subsidy is expiring and it mea ds our mortgage is going up 350 a month. We were toeing the line before and some months going a little over our budget but we had some wiggle room. With the mortgage going up that much I don't know if we can do it. We have to stay in our house for another year because of the new homebuyers credit. I'm so upset I really thought I could be a sahm and make it work. Dh and I haven't talked about it but I'm crying thinking about having to go back, even for a year. On the plus side we would have free daycare with my mil at least 3 days a week.

    That sucks, Im sorry you are going through that. I have been debating the same thing now because we have very little wiggle room. But what made the choice was we dont have any free daycare. And it can be up to $300 a week where I live.

    That sucks. Can you get a part time job for a couple hours a week that would add up to the $350? I know the money matters board are really good at helping people figure out their budgets you may want to talk to them. I hope you can figure it out so you can stay home.

    We've been back and forth for a while now as to if I'm going to have to go back to work and I absolutely hate it! I feel your pain, believe me.  Just know you have to do what you have to do, and it looks like hopefully it won't be for very long.  We've got a LOT of changes coming up, and I have a feeling in the end, I'll have to go back, as much as I hate the idea.

    LoL Thanks! I didnt know if anyone one here watched anime. DH bought that for me on our first anime convention, we were still dating at the time so I got to pick out the big stuffed animal.
