BOY! I ended up having to go to the hospital yesterday because I was having some discomfort in my lower pelvic region. I went to my OB office and they thought it could be a urinary tract infection and wanted to to do an ultrasound as well as a urinealysis, but the ultrasound tech was out so they sent me to the hospital. After a very long wait the tech came and thankfully both babies were doing great! I asked her to make a guess on the sexes and Baby A was not cooperative, but Baby B was. She showed us what she called his "third leg". So at least one of the twins "might" be a BOY! We go back to the OB for our 16 week appointment in two weeks so maybe we can get a better answer then and find out what Baby A is.

That's exciting!

Sorry about the pain though, I have been having pain in my right lower pelvic region too. Did they figure out what it was?

They said it was round ligament pain and told me the babies are sitting low. My urine sample came back normal. So I guess I'll rest and maybe take Tylenol. Hope your pain eases up.

RLP is the worst! I was thinking i wouldn't get it as much this time since it's my 2nd pregnancy. I thought it would be easier to stretch out or something like that... but no. I have it just as bad as before!!

Unfortunately this means your pain probably won't go away but it should at least wane a little or at least become tolerable. I've taken tylenol for it when I'm moving around a lot. Just make sure you're staying hydrated enough. I get kinda crampy when I'm getting dehydrated and it's similar to RLP but can be fixed with drinking a bunch of water!
