This is good. I don't have to watch it because I took a whole class and read a book on this issue. If I weren't high risk I would go the more natural route.

Im "high risk" also due to my age 36 and twins but Im still hopeful that I may try do this naturally despite the OB wanting to give me an epi. GL to you!!

Thanks for the recommendation for Pregnant in America. I started streaming it on Netflix and really liked it - I'm going to sit down with my husband and watch the whole thing this weekend. I already have a midwife, so I feel very affirmed, but I didn't know some of that stuff about hospitals, epidurals, etc.
I watched, and it was okay. The Business of Being Born was better, IMO.
I agree. I've watched both and enjoyed parts of both.
I think that while 'Pregnant in America' brings up some great topics/points, the main speaker is arrogant and just plain obnoxious. I kept wishing that I could just cut him out of it. I like his wife though!
I've seen it! I recommended it a few weeks ago! It provides good information, but I think Business of Being Born is a better overall documentary. I found it very shocking that they spoke so much about the dangers of Cytotec. I don't know if you've ever watched Baby's First Day on TLC, but they give their patients Cytotec on almost every episode!

Well, I don't think I can even have an epi! (back surgery) I just meant more natural by giving birth outside a hospital without anything. Good luck with the twins! I'm just glad that people are becoming more aware that they have choices too.
