WOOHOO!!! Can't wait for the everyone to join us!! Soon our board posts are going to be about our 20 weeks ultrasounds, finding out the sex of our babies, baby showers, braxton hicks, excessive vaginal discharge (ha!), our awesome sex drives, etc. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Good riddance!

I can't wait to make it there too! This is the longest I've held a pregnancy in the last 5 1/2yrs so everyday that I stay pregnant is a good thing. But I know it will be even better once I'm out of the 1st trimester and I'll really celebrate once I hit my 3rd, lol! Oh and congrats to all those who've made it to the 2nd trimester! Hope to see you there in the next 2wks!!!!!!
I don't really get the 12 weeks vs. 13/3. If a pregnancy is 40 weeks, the trimesters should each be 13 weeks/3 days. If you are basing it off 37 weeks being "full term" (which I don't really agree with, but who am I to disagree with the APA- it just makes no sense to me), it's more like 12 weeks/3days.
I guess by two counts I am second tri now, but I use the 13/3 version, so I'm about a week away, still!
However, I have read your chances of miscarrying drop to about 3% after you see a heartbeat (8 weeks for me), so I'm not sure I understand the "safe after 1st tri" theory at all??? Is that assuming not everyone gets an u/s before second tri?
