when does overnight pooping stop?

DS still poops at night and he is 11 weeks. I was lazy last night and didn't change him when he woke up to eat and had a huge mess this morning. My DD never did this but she was 100% om formula by 4 weeks so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. DS is still on all BM. It is such a pain to change diapers with the Miracle Blanket. I usually have to unsqaddle him. I really want the overnight pooping to stop.

  • My LO poops almost every single night. I also can't not change him when he gets up at 4 or else he will completely overload his diaper.
  • DD is almost 12 weeks, EBF, and exclusively poops at night. She only goes once a day and I can'y remember the last time it was in the daylight.

DD stopped pooping overnight when she started sleeping deeper and waking up less often to nurse (EBF). She was probably 8 weeks.

  • I didn't know they were supposed to stop pooping at night, I figured they just go when they gotta go, they don't care if its day or night. M usually poops first thing in the morning though, 6 or 7 am. But that's not to say she doesn't do it a million other times a day.

  • I don't remember exactly when (or that I even noticed, to be honest) but I stopped changing DD in the middle of the night around 4 weeks old and she's been STTN since 6 weeks old. I can't recall any poopy diapers in the mornings... she does get quite upset when she is dirty so I'd think I'd remember that.

  • LO hasn't pooped overnight since he was 2 weeks old. Usually a morning pooper.
  • does it really matter? i mean you have to change them when they wake either way...

Why do I "have" to? I stopped changing my DD in the middle of the night by now.

  • DS has never pooped at night...if he did, it stopped within the first 1-2 weeks because I can't remember it at all.

I do remember DD doing it all the time though for the first 3-4 months. ((shrug)) It happens...just change the baby. I change DS for pee diapers if he ever wakes up in the night.

  • LO poops at night, but she STTN so she doesn't get changed until she wakes up.  I use the Pampers Baby Dry and it's not much of a mess...just like a normal poop with pee diaper.
