If you have flown with your LO...

do you need to bring some sort of ID for them? I know adults need photo ID to board the plane, but should I bring a birth certificate or anything for DD? She will be on my lap.

  • Yes, a copy of their birth certificate. Esp at your DD's age. Justin was always big/tall as a baby and they needed to verify #1- his identity and #2- that he was under 2 and we weren't trying to scam them out of a free ticket.

  • If you are flying international you'll need a passport.

  • Thanks Ladies! We are going to FL, I can't imagine flying internationally with her right now.  I am dreading the flights b/c DD is in the "can't hold me down" stage. I have a few more weeks to mentally prepare myself :-)
  • Are you going to disney?

I wish! We (my mom, sister, niece, Ava and I) are going to visit my grandparents. My grandfather's health is deteriorating and he really wanted to see us and the girls, how can we not, ya know?  I am terrified of Ava throwing a fit on the plane because she wants to get down and run, but I would never forgive myself if I used that as a reason not to go.

  • Awww, that is stressful.  I hope the flight goes smooth and you can capture lots of memories by photo of your grandparents and Ava.
