What do you do when you get some free time?

DH went out tonight with some friends who he hadn't seen in 2 years and DS actually went to sleep at 8 and let me put him down. I used my free time to pluck my eyebrows (they were outta control) and give myself a pedi. Now I am bumping. Friday nights just aint what they used to be, but I am pretty happy right now!

    Sleep, homework, cleaning/laundry, or sleep. Yes, sleep needed to typed twice because it's just that darn important!

    Free time, what is this thing you speak of? 

    If I ever get a moment or two of free time I take a long hot shower with no toddler trying to help me shave my legs. Or I lay on the couch in the quiet, doing nothing at all. No music, no tv, just enjoying the peace and quiet.

    Funny you should ask this... I got an almost "free" night last night. My dad and stepmom took DD#1 and DH watched DD#2 so that I could clean the bathroom. Sad, I know, but it needed it. I clean in my spare time, which doesn't happen very often... You should see my house, it's a mess. A true testiment of how much kid-free time I have! Not enough to get anything clean! Oh well....

    Right now: house work, cooking or paying bills/managing finances.

    I hope to incorporate sewing back into my free time, but that will happen soon.  I was put on bed rest at 27 weeks, so I still have so much to catch up on around the house.

    I feel like I am really lucky with some free time...I have lunch with friends (sometimes I bring LO), get a massage, read, bake, go to the mall, get a pedicure, and am starting a book club. I need to add exercise soon, I just love to run/jog outside and it's too hot. I'm definitely not a lady of leisure though. I went back to work after 4 weeks post c-section since I have my own business. I work full time but have some flexibility on Tuesdays and Fridays with my schedule so that's when I fit in some free moments LO started an awesome daycare at 6 weeks. My long days I visit him at lunch. I finally feel like I am balancing things a lot better than when I was at home. We also have a cleaning person every other week which helps. I have severe anxiety when I think that we might want to add another LO in a few years. We may be a one and done kind of family since it is working for us.

    I take the longest, hottest, shower or bath imaginable! Or I lay in the sun by the pool and just relax and enjoy the quiet. I'm trying to motivate myself to catch up on housework, but that hasn't happened!

    Nap, housework, apply for jobs. If DH is watching her, I will go for a walk or go windowshopping.

    I'm reading a book, which is nice. I also always have gardening to catch up on, and the endless house work (but I don't really think of "cleaning" as a free time activity).

    Free time while LO is playing by himself or sleeping?  I clean, cook, shower, go for long walks with him in the stroller, catch up with friends on the phone or surf the web.  Free time while FI is watching him? Go to the gym.
