Are you going to change up the bedding if you get a toddler bed? Or take off the cribs side rail? Can you share what you are getting! And where they have cute ones with good prices since I am assuming we will convert to the crib without the side until 3ish where she will get a "big" bed

I realize your question is mainly about bedding, but I want to share our big kid bed exp!
We actually are on our 3rd night in the big boy bed, and so far so good! We skipped the toddler bed competely (because we dont REALLY want to buy a second crib) and we bought a bunk bed that converts to two twin beds. The top bunk has rails that go all the way around, and he has not gotten out of it at all! I am shocked at how well it worked! Two of our friends had recommended the bunk bed idea, and I am glad I listened!
ETA: In case that was unclear, he is NOT in the top bunk of a bed stacked on another bed, his bed is on the floor! looks like this...

Love that bed. The issue is we decided to upgrade to a king bed when we got married. So I have a bedroom set for a queen bed at my parents house in storage. I got it brand new when I was in college 2001. Only used summer of college (graduated 2004) Then out to grad school in 2005. Moved back in and finished grad school at home in 2006. Married in 2007. So barely used! So we hope DD can use this queen bed!
Gotcha! I totally wouldnt want to have that bed go to waste either!
