Mei Tai question

DS has special needs and is physicall uncomfortable with his legs spread. We had to get rid of our Beco for this reason.

If I make a mei tai do you think it would be okay to make the bottom of the carrier slightly narrower so that it doesn't put quite as much pressure on the inside of his thighs?

I know of some people that have DIY mei tais where they could sinch the bottom for the same exact reason.

If I used a MT that was too wide for DD, I would just put an elastic headband around the body to narrow the width.

My mei tai came with a snap that can be done up to make it narrower.
