Nosey MIL

I emailed MIL asking for the name of the attorney she uses and she writes back "for what"?  Well, it's not really any of your business but for a will. Sheesh.  It just annoyed me a little bit.  Otherwise she is pretty great.

    I don't think she was being nosy...different lawyers have different specialties and she needs to know so she can direct you to the right one.

    I agree with this.  She probably wanted to make sure that her lawyer could help with what you need before you contacted him.

    I agree she probably wasnt being nosy. Different lawyers do different things. Sorry but you got her involved.

    I agree with PP.  You were the one that asked for the #.  If you wanted your privacy and didn't want her to know, you could've looked in the yellow pages or asked someone else for a recommendation.  Plus, I feel like doing your will isn't a big deal, like that's somethign I would share with my ILs "Hey, we're thinking about putting together our will, can you give me the number to your attorney?"
