Can anyone recommend an amazing midwife? I just found out that I have no outside maternity benefits so I have to give birth at a hospital or nothing is covered! I am looking for an attentive, caring, smart midwife or OB practice with midwives. I want to go naturally with as little intervention as possible and am looking for a provider to support me in that. I am also new to Portland and I have no one to draw experience or recommendations from! Ah! Please help!
Re: Midwife Recommendations Portland, OR
I don't know if you've checked out OHSU, but they do offer midwives at the hospital. I can't give personal recommendation since I haven't used one, but it's an option! I had a great experience with giving birth to my DD there last year. Even though I didn't have a midwife, the nurse knew I wanted to have a natural birth and when I started begging for drugs (lol) she would recommend I do something else to help the pain.
Hope that helps!
Thank you guys so much for your suggestions! I've actually made appointments with both the Legacy midwives and the OHSU midwives : ) I'm looking forward to it!
Thanks again
