Help me decide on a birthday theme
DD is turning 3 in September. I have never done a theme for her parties in the past but I think I want to this year. In talking to DD tonight she has said both Elmo and Luau. We have a pool and in the past we have told people they are welcome to get in the pool for her party but no one has. I've looked at several party places and both have tons of decorations so that doesn't help me decide.

I think the Elmo luau would be fun.
I made Elmo cupcakes for DS 2nd b-day as well. I used ideas from that post as well as some others I saw on-line. They were really easy to make (I am not talented in cake decorating) and I was really happy with them. I just iced the top with red frosting, using a knife. I used a regular size Oreo cut in half. An orange M&M for the nose. Two dollops of white frosting (Wilton white tube) for the eyes and a dot of black gel (Wilton) for the pupil of the eye.
I think you could easily combine the themes.
