Once Upon a Child!!

Today a new Once Upon a Child opened near us. If you're not familiar, it's basically a consignment shop.

I have been looking forward to going for MONTHS! I just did not anticipate half of Chicago land would be as well, holy cow it was crowded!

I don't do well with large crowds like that, I have a little anxiety, so it made it difficult for me to concentrate and really look for stuff.

But, we were able to get a green Bumpo chair for only $15 and some cute clothes for our little guy that put our total up to $42. 

Not too shabby! I'll definitely be going back there after they've been open for a while. The only thing I wanted and couldn't find was a Boppy pillow, they didn't have a single one!

    I LOVE OUAC.  Jude's entire wardrobe is from there, most of it with tags :)

    I went to mine last week and they had tons of Boppys. I've never heard that before. Maybe these were all new though? They were still in the packages. Ours had a TON of stuff but we didn't get anything since we didn't for sure know the sex.

    I can't wait to go to ours - I went once when we first found out we were pg, but now we know it's a boy, so we can actually buy clothes!

    My MIL swears by OUAC.  There isn't one near me, but the clothes she buys DD are really nicely priced and most look brand new (if they're not).

    Good to know about Boppys! Are they cheaper there than at other stores even though they are new? I wasn't too concerned about getting a used one b/c I would probably buy a new cover for it, oh well. I know I've heard of people getting great deals on them at Goodwill or Salvation Army so I'll probably look there.

    whooo hoo! And as the store is open longer, more people will be selling back their gently used baby stuff! As you know we just got our crib/changer there! And their clothes are priced so well! AND their toys and books are a great buy! Glad you enjoyed shopping!
