One of the 7 B's of AP is Balance. From Dr. Sears:"In your zeal to give so much to your baby, it's easy to neglect the needs of yourself and your marriage. As you will learn the key to putting balance in your parenting is being appropriately responsive to your baby ? knowing when to say "yes" and when to say "no," and having the wisdom to say "yes" to yourself when you need help."What have you done to maintain balance this past week?

Re: Balance Check In
I've been going to bed early & reading Gentle Birth Choices. It's a great read!
Last week I had a massage & pedi.
I was supposed to get some "me time" on sunday, but while I was napping w/ LO DH started a big project and wasn't done until dinner time. He got the fence in our backyard built, but I didn't get any time to so something I wanted. Since then it's been either work or watching LO. At least she is in a really fun stage right now, so it's good times. (well, except bedtime!)
Hope everyone else is doing better for balance!
sounds like a rough week for all of us! i was supposed to get to lay down a little longer on Sunday morning, but the crazy storms flooded our basement so instead of getting to lay down, i had to watch DD all day while poor DH dealt with soggy carpet and a leaking window well.
however saturday night we watched a movie after DD went to bed (with a glass of wine) and it was great, so that was fun.
The girls were kind enough to give me the cold they fought last week, so I've been dragging butt the last few days. Yesterday I told DH that he got to be the "parent on duty" for the girls' OT appointment (she comes to the house) and I was taking a nap after work. I was a much better mommy for the evening after getting 45 minutes of sleep.
Saturday night we re-watched Deathly Hallows part 1, and the plan is for the girls to hang with Oma Sunday afternoon so we can go see part 2.
We got MIL to keep Ella overnight so we could go see HP for our anniversary. Drank some adult beverages, that was nice!
Also started the Insanity work out program, and made an appt to get my hair cut.
I'm not sure if this counts as being balanced, but I've been diaper shopping. I love shopping for diapers (probably a bit too much)!!
I've been feeling very spacey and ungrounded this past week. I did some mindfulness meditation and that helped a great deal!
