Party menu

This is our tentative Menu for L's cowboy party on Sunday, its 4-7pm, we are serving dinner. Do you think this is enough variety?

Pulled Pork
Buns
Baked Beans
Macaroni & Cheese
Pasta Salad
Potato Salad
Coleslaw
veggie tray
nothings & salsa (fried wonton delciousness)

For beverages I have 3 of those big pitchers with a spout I was going to do ice tea, lemonade and margaritas. I also have personalized water bottles that will be out on ice. DH thinks we should do pop as well I don't think its necessary.

Dessert is fresh fruit, cake, cookies and ice cream

DH wants to do mini hot dogs for the kids as well I'm not convinced. I'm debating whether or not BBQ chicken is necessary. We were hoping to do things in advance and have it in chafing dishes ready to go buffet style so we would be free to mingle/host.

Re: Party menu

  • I would omit the pasta salad and add in the hot dogs. I think the drink options are fine.

  • Hot Dogs are highly recommended for the kiddos. Easy to do!

  • Yum! Can I come? It sounds great!

I would do mini hot dogs.. only because I know my son who is 2.5.. would eat mac and cheese and maybe some beans and that might be it.  I, of course, present the fruit and the veggies.. just doesn't always get consumed. lol

    Sounds awesome!
  • Thanks ladies! We settled on mini hotdogs in addition to the original menu and also added some BBQ pulled chicken for the few people I know who don't do pork.
