My baby will only sleep swaddled

Arms in and tight.  If her arms escape she ends up waking herself up and can't go back to sleep.  She starts going to the sitters everyday on Tuesday and I'm afraid she isn't going to nap and will be cranky because of it.  I have my stomach in knots about this.

    Just teach your sitter how to swaddle her tightly, and tell her to do it for every nap. It's not that hard to learn...

    Welcome to the anxiety of swaddling club! DS is the same way, can't sleep long periods of time without being swaddled. I'm kicking myself in the a$$ for swaddling because it's been so hard for us to break. Luckily I SAH so I don't have to teach a sitter how to swaddle, but I would if I have to. Also you never know you LO might sleep better for someone else. Just wanted to let you know your not alone, if that makes you feel any better.

    Same here, we are trying to break the habit tonight as she rolled to her tummy last night. Wish us luck (and sleep!!).

    I swaddle every night and she loves it.  I have been sending the easy swaddles with velcro to daycare and bring them home on Friday to wash. The ladies at daycare are so nice and take them from me every week.  After 8 weeks, I mention that I am trying to break her of the swaddle...can they help me?  They then inform me that they never use the swaddle and she sleeps fine.  I cold turkeyed her yesterday and she actually did fine but I quickly moved her to her room because all the flipping around kept waking me up.
