Using formula checks and coupons

I have a bunch of Similac manufacturer coupons, and a friend just gave me a few Similac checks yesterday. I know you can sometimes use more than one check (or expired checks) per item but it is dependent on the cashier.

But I just want to know if it's possible to stack a check and a coupon on the same tub? Or can I only use one or the other?

ETA: I'm looking for Target/Giant/CVS etc. type stores... I don't have a BJs membership and Costco doesn't take coupons other than their own.

I was able to stack coupons and checks at Target & BJs for Enfamil. BJs I never had a problem, but some times at Target it did depend on the casher.

I've used a coupon plus a check at BJ's many times.
