I posted last week or so about getting asked frequently if I'm pregnant. . . Just fat thanks!!
Today a patient asked me if "I had thyroid problems or just a fat little neck."
People have no filter. I guess its time for a diet or plastic surgery! 
After 4.5 years our miracle IVF baby is here!

OMG! WTF?! WTH?! what other texting lingo can I use? :-) Old people can be PITAs at times. I have been asked these types of things by elderly before.. it's so hard to decide how to answer because a big part of me wants to be rude back, but then I think "they are probably gonna die soon so I should be nice".
Ugh, sorry you have to go through that!

DX: MFI - less than 1 million sperm, 26% motility
DH put on anastrozole to increase counts
June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(
Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
IVF - January 2012: BFN
FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

I am a receptionist and a physical therapy aide.
I was shocked when she asked me. I just said, "Well actually I just had b/w done yesterday." I didn't know what to say.
I think she was genuinely concerned but she could have left on the little fat neck part. I just get blow away by the things people say.
Next part might be sensitive. . . .
This is also the patient that has told me on multiple occasions that she praises God that her mom kept having miscarriages because their family of 6 was big enough. The first time she said it made me angry.
I can't wait til she's better and gone!!
O.M.G!!! That woman has serious mental problems. I mean who says something so vile and repulsive out loud? I am so sorry you have to deal with a miserable old hag like that.
2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks
5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
IVF - May - BFN
6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
10/13 - BFP!!

Yuck. Some people have no filters at all. DH's grandfather had no filter. Every thought that passed through his mind passed his lips- and most of them weren't even vaguely complimentary. He told DH to starve me a little so I wouldn't be so fat and could give him healthy great grandchildren. This was before we got married (and before I was obese at all- and years before we'd find out that DH has MFI)- and right in front of me. Charming man. Pinched my ass during the family pictures at our wedding too.
After a while it gets easier to tune them out. But Ugh.

OMG! I remember you posting about this about 2 weeks ago! I just can't believe that there are so many people who are flat out rude to you like this. Ok, maybe if there was one patient who was always rube, that's one thing, but it just seems like this is reoccuring, and that everyone that comes into your office is crazy!!!
You need to have a few choice phrases lined up when people ask these types of questions, like: Are you always this mean? Or Are you possessed by the Devil today?

After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.

EDD 10/15/16
At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
