We don't have a Stride Rite near us but I did check one out when we were in DE over Memorial Day and I wasn't really impressed. I hate the thought of spending so much money on shoes that she's just going to grow out of in a few months but I do want something good for her feet. I've gotten 3 pairs at BRU and 1 pair at Target that I've really liked. My Mom picked her up a pair of white, close toed sandals at K-Mart, too, but she's ready for the next size up and I need to go shopping this weekend! Suggestions?

Re: Where do you buys LOs shoes?
Sneakers - stride rite
Winter boots, dress shoes, rain boots - I buy used
I love Stride Rite, and it's the only place I really buy Evan's shoes. He has a wide foot (he measures in between a wide and double wide!), so it's really the only place that sells a good selection.
We have a outlet, which is where I get his from... the prices are better. Earlier this year I got him a pair of sneakers and summer closed-toe sandals for like $45, so I don't think it's too bad. But he basically only has one pair of shoes at a time, since they are a little pricey! I'm hoping the sneakers still fit come fall, so he can have an extra pair!
LO has one pair of sneakers from Stride Rite. I've checked back there for others but haven't loved their selection.
I have found great deals at Sears. I picked up a $10 pair of closed toe white sandals that were perfect. DD kept them on and then never rubbed or caused any little irritations. She grew out of them so I went back to find the next size. No luck. However I went to Sears.com and found them for still just $10 plus free shipping. I would highly recommend checking sears or their website.
Claire has some shoes from Stride-Rite (I had her measured there and then bought them cheaper online). She also has a pair of shoes made by Keen and a pair of Converse that she loves. When she was little I bought her shoes from Pedipeds. She has a wide foot with a high instep so shoes I've purchased at Target I've had to return.
We go to Stride Rite everytime due to her wide feet; I liked the style of their little first walker shoes better than I like them as her have grown. She is just now starting to outgrow the baby pudge in her feet and may not be a wide much longer. Sandals we still stick with Stride Rite because I don't have the patience to rummage at Target, winter playboots are Sorel (not wide).
So far she only gets one pair of everyday sneakers/shoes each season in addition to one sandal/winter boot. I can share my F&F discount for winter boots but they need to be bought online.
