When to buy nursing bras?

The tank thread got me thinking ...

Won't I not really know what size I'll need until after my milk comes in?  But what do I wear in the mean time?  I know people buy them before, what size do you get?

They are so expensive I don't want to get the wrong ones ...

    I went ahead and bought two that were fairly inexpensive. I wanted to make sure I had one right away for the hospital. I plan to buy more after my milk comes in.

    I bought some relatively cheap sports bra-like nursing bras from Motherhood and I just made sure that they weren't too tight so I could make do until I bought more.

    I found a sleep nursing bra that's $20 at Target.  That plus a couple nursing tanks should probably work until I can buy real nursing bras right?

    At our breastfeeding class last weekend she said to wait until you are 34-35 weeks to buy anything because that is when your rib cage will be at it's max expansion.  Then she said only buy 1 because you don't want to buy a lot of something you don't like.  Plus, you'll be out of the hospital pretty quickly and can send someone out to buy more if you end of likeing it.  That being said, I plan to buy 1 bra and 1 tank in advance.  Then I'll buy more after I get out of the hospital.
