Blood draw went well!

My kids never had to have a blood draw until now.. it went so well! (Testing for allergens, mostly tree nuts).

I went to Quest behind Stuyvesant Plaza (Albany)

DD was so agitated when we got there because I think she recognized it was a Drs office. Poor kid. But after we waited a while (I was a walk-in), she was a little calmer. The phlebotomist was awesome.. she put the band on DD's arm and was singing hickory dickory dock while walking her fingers up and down DD's arm (like looking for the vein). She did a great job distracting her and got the blood so quick, and there is barely a mark on DD's arm. DD was upset but not hysterical. So I'm a happy momma

Of course DD has gotten so verbal, it really helped to say how we were all done, going bye bye, going to the car, and DD was saying "boo boo" and "ouch" while pointing to her arm later today. My good girl
