Wraps and nursing pjs

What is the best wrap?  Moby? Sleepy Wrap?  Something else?  Are they practical and easy to put on for grocery shopping with a toddler in tow?

Anyone know where to get affordable nursing pjs, or just the tops?  I like the kind that pull to the side like the sleep bras.  The ones I've found online so far are really expensive.

Thanks!

  • We had a Moby and I liked it enough. It's not super easy the first few times but you get the hang of it quickly.

As for the "nursing tops" I actually just bought little clearance tank tops from Motherhood and then a few from Target (can't find online but they were in my store for $10) That I can actually wear out right now with a little cami underneath and then when the time comes they can be great sleep nursing tops.

something similar to this but not exactly:

Also I got a lot of little "nighty's" and looser cami tank top sets at walmart that could easily pull down for comfortable nursing. They were cheap there.

I used a Moby like wrap (homemade - 6 yards of cotton jersey from JoAnn's) and I liked it when she was really little. We switched to a Beco Gemini at 3 or 4 months and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I would not have survived without my moby-like wrap those first few weeks. Life saver with a toddler in tow but it does take some practice.

  • I would recommend a woven wrap over stretchy because you can use them for so much longer. I have 3 and would say my Didymos is the most comfortable. I also used my Ergo with the infant insert daily for the first several months. I've also heard great things about the Beco Gemini but haven't tried it. Good luck!
