I have 2 names that I love but will never use. One DH vetoes and the other is for the son we are not planning on having (this is the last kid.)
Crosby Llyod,
Clementine Elle.
What are your unusable, but loved names?
I know a clementine and love it! Not such a fan of crosby lloyd. I want to name a girl Matilda, turns out to be a great-great grandmas name also. DH hates though! I also think it might be gaining popularity.

I wouldn't say I *love* these names but I do like them and at times am sad I can't use them.
Tyler- my nephew is Taylor, and we have a somewhat close friend named Tyler.
Evan- my cousin (the only one on my dad's side) and his wife had a baby in January and named their son Devon. There are only three grandkids on that side and at this point (including my LO) there will be 4 great grandchildren. I can't name my kid something so similar to one of the others.
Zion, DH sad no to it. I love the name. I love the meaning. I'm half black so it holds a special place in my heart. I may not be able to use it for my next DS, but I can use it for my characters when I write my stories. XD
My girl name would be Stryder. I love it, but some people might not. It might be up there with Nevaeh. Plus, I'm a die hard Lord of the Rings fan! DH would say no to Stryder too.

It actually moved backwards on the top 1000 from 750-something to 800 last year. Its a pretty love/hate kind of name so I think the odds of at least one spouse hating will keep it from getting too popular. At least thats what I tell myself because I love DDs uncommon name.
I love the name Seraphina, but DH has a serious ex named Sarah and thinks its too similar.
I had my heart set on Josephine, DH doesn't like it. I also like the name Whitney but I have a cousin named Whitney so that wouldn't work out. Also like the name Sheriden but there is a sketchy neighborhood of the same name in my city so it has a bad connotation.
I love Meredith for a girl, but our last name begins with an M and I don't like all the M sounds. I love Simon for a boy, but there is another Simon in the family. Bummer!
We're done, so I won't get to use any more names. When we were considering a third, we'd narrowed our girl name last to Anne/Annie, Charlotte, Erica, Victoria, and Elizabeth and our boy name list to Samuel, Thomas, James, Everett and Henry.
With my first two, I loved Eleanor and Beatrice for a girl, but DH vetoed those saying they were too "old lady." I also loved Philippa, which he said was "too British."
I love Molly for a girl, but I'd never use it, even if we did have another girl, because we're Mike and McGee, and we have a Meredith. Plus an Alexander. I wouldn't want another M name.
I like the name Owen but my Aunts last name is Owens and they are a little on the weird side so my DH doesn't like the name. For a girl I like the name Arianna and Zoe but again not liked by DH

your matilda is a doll!! I really do love the name and would also use tillie as the nn. I do like seraphina too! Maybe your DH can get over the sound-a-like;) They go well together!

Thanks! Your LO is a little cutie. Pearl is a favorite of mine, as well. If we ever get pregnant with DD #2, I may try to push Seraphina. DH and I both like uncommon vintage names, so usually he's pretty open (heck, the man loves Opehlia and Clementine) but it shot Seraphina down fast, so we'll see.

BFP #2: 8.31.16 Dx w/ GD @ 28w DD Born @ 36w: 4.21.17
- Charlie (he vetoed it so strongly that I named cat #2 that, so now its really unusable)
Girls names:
- Tessa (its my SILs name and I know everyone would think we had named the baby after her, so its off the table)
О Привязать! Z!
Charlotte (apparently DH knew a mean bully in school with this name)
Amelia (DH had a rabbit named Emilia and it's too similar)
Both names are a little too popular for my tastes now though.
Shiloh (sounds bad with our LN.)
Marlo (DH hates it)
Graeme (all DH can think of is graham crackers, our son's favorite food)
Charlie (cat's name....stupid cat!)
Edison (DH would think it's weird)
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
I love Georgia but DH has an Aunt Georgia and his family is really close. Under other circumstances this LO would be Georgia for sure.
I also love Ammelia, but DH has an ex girlfriend with that name so its out too.
