Childcare Recommendations?
Can anyone recommend good childcare either in Lee's Summit or Overland Park? This is our first LO and we're not sure of the best places to look. Also, can anyone give me a rough idea of what childcare for an infant costs in the KC area? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Our son has gone to the Kindercare on Woods Chapel Rd in LS since he was born and we've had good experiences there. I like that the director knows all of the kids and the teachers are very caring and many have been there long-term. As of last year, I think infant tuition was around $260/wk. That's not the lowest or the highest we found, but we only looked at centers and not at-home care. We also heard raves about Woods Chapel United Methodist's preschool but it had a yr waiting list when we were looking 3 yrs ago.
I'd also really think where your daily route is and try to find places near that. I saw some other nice centers when we were looking, but they were 15-20 minutes off my regular work route, so that would have added extra commute time every day. Having a center that's on the same exit as our house has been wonderful, especially on days I might be running late either in the mornings or for evening pick-up.
