About a half hour ago I got up from where I was sitting and felt a rush of fluid, and it was red blood. I cleaned it up, put a pad on and monitored it for about 5 minutes. It had seemingly stopped. I called my on call Dr and she said that after having an ultrasound, you can have some contractions (even if I don't directly feel them) and with the contracting would come the bleeding. Also with the excessive heat we've been having, it's easy to get dehydrated and that can cause bleeding also. I know I havn't taken in as many fluids as I should today. I just went to the bathroom and there was light pink on the pad and slight amount when I wiped. I still haven't had ANY cramping. She said if I wanted I could go to the ER and get it checked out but to be honest, she didn't seem overly concerned since it wasn't gushing and no associated with cramps. I called DH at work and told him and he said he'd get out ASAP and come home. If I go to the ER, I'm waiting for him. Should I monitor it overnight and see how it goes, then hit the ER if it worsens or should I just go when he gets home? I've never had bleeding with this pregnancy or the last so, this is all new territory for me. What would you ladies do?
Re: WWF12M's do? (Bleeding)
If it were me I think I'd wait and see if it gets heavy again. If it does, then I'd probably go.
Keep in mind that I'm assuming 1. your dr wasn't worried so that should help, 2. you don't have a history of m/c 3. you haven't had any problems thus far.
Good luck, that's got to be scary.

I am so sorry that you are experiencing this.
Although from what you've said, I'm sure everything is okay, I would probably go to the ER when DH gets home, just for your peace of mind. Good luck.
WWF12M had me all kinds of confused.
I think if your doctor doesn't seemed alarmed by the bleeding you should monitor it. I know it's easier said than done, just try and relax.

2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
Personally, I would probably go to the ER. I would need the reassurance.
I hope everything turns out okay for you!

**hugs** T&P for you! This would be extremely stressful to me.
If it were me, I'd wait to see if I had any more red blood, since the doctor didn't seem worried, and go to the ER if I did. Mainly because the ER is a huge pain in the butt, and I'm likely to worry more at the ER than at home!

Pregnant after 4 losses via IVF/FET with daughter "Gamma" (EDD Oct 2, 2019)
This is EXACTLY what happened to me on Sunday. This is my first pregnancy, so even though I know some bleeding/spotting is normal, it scared me, especially because of the first rush of blood I had.
I called the doctor on call that weekend, and he told me to have bedrest, stay hydrated, and if it got worse, to call back.
I ended up continually spotting through Monday, so we went to the doctor and had an u/s, which showed that everything was just fine. The heart was happily beating away. The doctor told me there is so much growing/stretching/absorbing going on inside us that he's surprised all women don't bleed at some point in their pregnancy. That made me feel better.
It's since stopped. I don't know what may have caused it (I did have a vaginal u/s on Thursday and we had sex on Friday, so maybe all that irritated me??).
I think the most important thing is to stay calm and know that within reason, this is very normal for a lot of women.
