I really want to get a glider before baby comes because I know I'm going to need a nice place to nurse, soothe baby etc. I want an upholstered kind, not the wooden rocking chair like gliders with padding. Anyone have any recs for a good one? I was really surprised to find out how expensive they are - they start around $400 for the low end ones not including the footrest. I really wanted one from BRU that is SO comfortable but after reading reviews everyone says it starts to squeak and clunk after a few weeks, so I don't want to deal with that. Tonight we're going to Pottery Barn Kids to look at those, and I know they're going to be super expensive but at this point I just want something nice that will last.

Re: upholstered glider recs please
We are getting the Attractive American Rocker from Land of Nod. I live in Chicago, so we had the luxury of going to a brick and mortar - and we REALLY like the Attractive American Rocker and Dylan Glider. We ultimately picked the rocker over the Dylan b/c it had more of the aesthetics we were going for.
If you sign up for a registery at Land of Nod (can you do so online) - you can get 15% off too (and yes, you could do it tonight and put your date as next week..that is what I did and I already got my 15% off coupon).
We got the Tryp glider recliner from Best Chairs. I really like it and was impressed with the fabric choices. It was about $720 with taxes and all.
