Update on Trig

I know that I posted a long time ago about Trig seeing a pediatric endocrinologist about being put on growth hormone. They wanted to see him back in 4 months to see if he would do any significant growth. Well, we went back last week and the doctor is recommending growth hormone! We are very excited that Trig has a shot at being a normal size when he grows up but it also means daily injections which is a little scary. Now we just wait for insurance approval (which will hopefully go smoothly) and he will start in a few weeks. Thanks for listening, it has been a crazy journey thusfar with Trig being so small and he will hopefully do some real catching up very soon!!!!

  • That is good news that they are doing it so early. Friends of the family had triplet girls, 2 of which were alwasy under in height and weight (seriously under). As teens they were on growth hormones, one grew 3 inches the other almost 5. It was amazing! While they will alwasy be short the diffrence between 5foot and 4' 8" is big. I know if they had been younger they would have grown more so hopefully this helps Trig a lot!

  • Yay for Trig!  This is great news.
