Carseat check

I stopped into DH's work where they were having a car seat clinic and come to find out our car seat was put in wrong! B is still rear facing but the way my seats are in the back seat of my car they made the car seat tilt forward too far. The car seat tech put some noodles (yeah like the swimming noodles) under it to make the car seat more secure. So I'm so glad that we had it checked! DH is a firefighter and they've gone through the training to get them in/out but not to the extent this lady did. He put it in and it was still wrong, just b/c of the design of the seats in the car. This lady was so knowledgeable about them and she even showed us how to use the tether strap on the back to anchor it even further in the rear facing position.

It must have been uncomfortable the old way b/c for the first time EVER in that car seat, B fell asleep on the way home.

TTC since 6/2003. m/c 9/14/03 8 weeks, 5 chemical pregnancies, mmc 6/04 12 weeks, Michael born sleeping 5/25/05 at 22weeks always our angel, fought ovarian cancer and won, m/c 4/06 5.2 weeks and 7/07 6.6 weeks,Our Miracle baby girl born 4/8/10,mc 12/18/11 at 5.3 weeks, BFP 10/26/12 dating u/s on 11/8/12 showing a strong heartbeat!EDD July 4,2013. RCS on 6/27. Baby boy in NICU for 8 long and scary days before he was able to come home. We are now a happy family of 4

    Yup, it is just the way some seats are.  My car the seat needs noodles, but in dh's truck it didn't.  And same thing - DH installed mine without noodles being trained as well haha.  Good thing you checked though!
