Cupcake poll!

I'm making (4 dozen!) cupcakes for a friends 30th birthday party. I plan on making 2 types of "cocktail" themed cupcakes. I think I'm definitely doing a pina colada, since I know the birthday girl likes coconut. But I can't decide which other flavor to go with!

Vote and help me with my decision! :)

Re: Cupcake poll!

  • I voted for rum but my second choice would be lemon-

  • I already voted but then I thought that what I usually go for in a dessert is chocolate/coffee/hazlenut- there has to be a drink like that right? Chocolate martini or Kahlua maybe?

  • I voted for strawberry but was really tied between that and the lemon. I think both are flavors that are very likeable to most people.

  • I voted for the strawberry, but it was tied with the rum punch. But I also like the idea pp had about a chocolate drink one. That sound really good too.

  • I voted Lemon Drop but I would make it raspberry by using some chambord and maybe garnish with a fresh sugared raspberry on some lemon frosting?

ETA: For a chocolate one I've seen guinness chocolate cupcakes with Bailey's irish creme frosting...yum!

yeah, a coffee/chocolate cupcake w/ some type of liquor would be a go-to in my book... but the only thing the birthday girl said was "no chocolate" ?!

oh, they are amazing... probably one of my favorite cupcakes I've ever made. They got rave reviews when I brought them to our bowling league for St. Patrick's Day. I did a Guinness chocolate cake, Irish whiskey ganache filling and Bailey's buttercream. aka- Irish Car Bomb cupcakes ;)

  • There is a cupcake place near our house that has some delicious combos- check out their menu- maybe something will jump out at you!
