FF chart question help please

I started charting back in February and at first was just basic info..date of period etc. In the last few months I have been trying to get better, more thorough and temping at the right time, recording CM etc & Using OPK's. Last month I never got a smiley face (I always use digital). This month I have been testing twice a day and last night I got my smiley face. It was late in the afternoon after getting a negative in the morning and then a negative again this morning.

I currently have FF set to the automatic default and due to my rocky temps (timing and sleep issues where I never am consistant etc.) it have never confimred that I have ovulated. This is with a couple (Not all as my cycles have still been rocky) that I have gotten a +OPK. With my +OPK from yesterday (And CM to confirm) it has be as most fertile starting yesterday. If I go and manually switch the detector to follow the + OPK instead of the suggested automatic overide it shows me as having been fertile the two day's prior to my +OPK.

Of course we did not FWP in either the day's before although we did last night after getting the +OPK..so as I go into my 8th month of TTCAL, I am wondering if I am missing the boat by having the manual override...any suggestions or thoughts?

That's ok, if you chart with any online software you can just copy & paste the link into your response.

If you want to add it to your siggy you would click on 'My Bump' then 'Edit Avatar and Siggy' then put your link in. If you want it to say 'My Ovulation Chart' you can use the code below. If you want a ticker, you need to do it through the provider's website.

Take the 2 *'s out before putting it in your siggy.

Ok, I think I completely understand/ see what you're asking Smile Considering your + OPK yesterday and negative today, my guess is that today *might* be your O day (as long as your body doesn't have a 'fake out') and of course only 3 higher temps (+.4 degrees) will tell you that.

If you have only 'OPK' method set, it's only going to evaluate that (maybe your CM too, not sure as I do not use OPK method.) It's assuming you O on or near your + OPK, which is why FF is giving you your fertile days as the two BEFORE your +OPK.

Typically, (not always though) you ovulate within 12-36 hours of your +OPK, so that's why my prediction (based on my experiences only) is that today might be your O day. Using this information for interpretation, you would not want to limit it to OPK method only, since you are using other signs

When you use advanced, it uses ALL method of interpretation (OPKs, CM, CP and BBT) to best analyze the information. There's been a few times where I have not understand WTH FF was thinking, but it ended up making sense when looking at the big picture.
