How much did the baby weigh? I was told 15 ounces today, which sounded huge to me so now DH believes that our son is going to be the next linebacker for the Houston Texans....I know all babies develop differently and that u/s measurements for weight can be off, I'm just curious to compare to others. I'd rather have a big baby than an underweight one!
Re: those who had a/s at 20 weeks
I wasn't told at all actually - I'm hoping to ask my OB on Friday at my check-up. I had my initial a/s at 19w3d and then a follow-up yesterday at 21 weeks. The tech said nothing aside from "things look great"
and congrats on team blue!
LCT - 5.15.14 ~ 9lbs, 22.5 inches
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
We were told he weighed 12 oz. Someone on the 2nd tri board claimed that her LO was 1.5 lbs at the A/S (I think around 20 weeks), but take from that what you will.
15 oz. doesn't seem gigantic.
YAY for big babies, LOL! My DH is thrilled. I keep wondering how big he'll be coming out of my lady parts....haha!
Did they say if he is measuring ahead?
Our LO was measuring at 20w1d at our A/S, so 1 day ahead of my own calculated due date and 4 days ahead of theirs (score one for me). I didn't find that out until my OB went over the a/s results at my monthly appointment yesterday.
The tech didn't say, just that everything looked fine. I have my regular appointment on the 12th, so if I don't hear by then, I'll just assume it's not a big deal. I'm not really worried- like I said, better a big baby than one too small! I know when I ovulated, so I'm pretty sure my due date is correct. My doctor went by my chart and my 6 week u/s. I was measuring on track at my 10 week u/s too. Maybe baby hit a growth spurt!
I have my 20 Week sono tomorrow, so I will ask how much she weighs! I am hoping she will be my peanut and be a normal sized baby.. and I will have an easier delivery then i did with my son!
I just looked at my pregnancy journal that I kept with our son and at his 20 week sono, he was just over a pound. He was 8.3pounds and 22 inches when he was born and has been in the 95th percentile his entire life. As of right now, he is over 4'2 and is 75 pounds.. and he's not chunky, he is solid. he will turn seven in september.
However, My DH is 6'2 and 275.. he's not fat, either.. My grandpa was 6'5 and all but three of my male cousins on my Mom's side are over 6'2.. My Sister is 5'11.. I'm the shortest girl in our family at 5'6. We have a tall family, so my son just has good genes!!

15 oz is pretty big...
my first was 10 oz... I can't remember my second, but it was close to that. I am sure it is fine though.

I don't know how accurate is, I remember my first was 10oz, and I think she was in the 54th percentile.
At 20w 2d, Baby weighed 14oz. (10in. long)
I asked if this was "normal" and the tech (not doctor fwiw) said it was...
