Losing my mind

DS has been fussing since 9am. He slept pretty well last night, and since 9am (it's 2 here now) he has been fussing the second I put him down. He cluster fed all morning, so he is not hungry. I tried the Moby which worked for awhile but he got too hot. Even when I am holding him he wants me to be standing up or he cries. He won't let me sit down. I have to get things ready for my maternity leave sub (I am a teacher) that I haven't even met yet and school starts next week! Plus I got a call today that they changed my room from full day kindergarten to half day, which means I have twice as many students now, which means I have to make double of all the materials I already made in June before DS arrived in an attempt to be ahead of the game! Ugh...

    Can you put him in the swing or bouncy chair and work near him?

    DS had a few days like this recently, and the night before last was torture!  But, he's back to normal today, so hopefully Luca will get over this soon, too.  Good luck!

    Sorry he is being fussy today. I would try the swing or bouncy chair like PP said. Is he gassy? Have you tried singing/dancing with him until he falls asleep? Have you tried to put him on your chest and just lay down? These are usually all the things I try to do with DS when he gets fussy. I hope he calms down soon! (((HUGS)))

    I wish:( With the mood he has been in the second I put him in the bouncy chair or swing he screams. Thankfully I just managed to get him to sleep so hopefully he will take a loooooooooong nap!

    This. DD acts like this when she's gassy. If all else fails I let her fall asleep on me, and wait until she's in a deep sleep then put her down. Walking, rocking, and singing to sleep are routine in my house too.

    Not that it allows you to multitask, but he might let you sit if you are on a yoga ball bouncing.

    My DD has been like that since birth. Colic?

    Do you have  family member, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend....etc who could come over and just hold DS while you work?

    I have learned that most people are more than willing to help and they love it!

    Thanks for all the advice. I think I am just more annoyed about the fact that I am supposedly on maternity leave yet I am doing all this work with NO pay just because our dumb district waits until the last second to make decisions and then changes things constantly. Every second DS is napping I am working on school work and my house is a mess!
