Re-intro and ? on bedtimes

Hi all - it's been a looong since I've posted here (before my babies were born). Hoping to be more active again since my twins are a bit older and things have settled down. Which leads to me question (XP from multiples)....

After the first few weeks, my babies have always slept pretty well (lucky me). At 12 weeks, they usually go to sleep by 8:30 (sometimes 9 if I get behind) and sleep until 3 a.m. or so. Once or twice a week, they'll even sleep through to 5 or 6 - woo hoo! (albeit it's rarely on the same night, but I'll gladly take what I can get).

What's your baby's bedtime? I know that at some point we should be closer to 7 or 7:30, but not sure if it's too early. I'm back at work now and my hours are from 6 a.m. to 3ish p.m. (the joys of working with East Coast peeps in a West Coast timezone) so I'm definitely not opposed to going earlier as soon as I can.

Re: Re-intro and ? on bedtimes

  • Violet goes to bed around 7:30 or 8.  She gets over-exhausted if she's up much later than that.

  • Most of the time she finally goes to sleep around 10-11.  Wakes up around 2-3ish to eat, goes back to bed until 7-8ish.

We tried the 7-10-2 thing but it doesn't always quite work out for us.  She still has her own schedule.

  • We put Lydia down around 9:30-10 pm. She will get up around 4:30 about once-twice a week, but normally STTN until about 6-7 am. I consider us lucky. We chose not to put her to bed until later because DH and I both work until 5, and if we put her to bed at 7, we would hardly ever get to see her awake.
  • We do bathtime around 8:15 or 8:30 and she's usually asleep by 9.

I was putting her to bed around 7:30, but between starting a bath earlier, feeding and getting her to bed didn't allow DH much time with her after work.
