I lurkered over there and everyone is starting to find out what their LO is
I remember being so excited to find out and DD kept her legs together so we couldn't see. Then when the lady pushed on her bottom she crossed them lol. She wouldn't even let the lady get any measurements so we had to go back when I was 23 weeks I think. She finally let us see that she was a GIRL!!!
It's hard to believe it's already been a year since we were finding out what our LOs were.
Re: Finding out Genders on Dec 2011
I remember this part too! It was August 2nd. Exactly 5 months before DS was born.
Just a question... did technology advance a lot in the past year? I have a FB friend who said she is having a boy when she was 13 weeks. This is her first pregnancy... Does this seem too early to anyone else?
I found out exactly one year ago today!
We were SURE we were going to have a girl. We were shocked to find out it was a boy
It was kind of funny... we were so excited and chatteriing away all morning about how excited we were to find out, then we went to the appointment, found out, and for the rest of the day we were really quiet, just kind of processing things, thinking about a BOY in our future
When we went for our NST scan at 14 weeks we found out we were having a boy. It was VERY obvious...so obvious that I asked if that was a penis and the ultrasound tech said I am not allowed to say this early in gestation and then she circled it and wrote on the screen "not a girl!" LOL. We got confirmation that it was a boy at the anatomy scan at 20 weeks (July 23rd) and then again at 39 weeks when I went for a growth scan prior to my induction.
I was 13 weeks when I found out. During the NT scan, I asked the tech if she could tell. She said she wasn't really supposed to say anything so early, but she was 90% sure it was a boy. We went back at 17 weeks (I think), and she confirmed it!

My friend is having a boy due Jan. 1 and she went 2 weeks ago and got a 3-D at one of those ultrasound businesses. Perhaps your friend did the same?

We found out exactly one year ago today as well. Seems like it was yesterday. It is crazy that now my little girl is sitting next to me, playing and laughing. Time flies.
I feel this way too! I don't know what I would do if I was having another one right now!!!
That does seem early.. I found at 15 weeks though, at one of those pay-for-ultrasound places. They claimed to be able to detect as early as 14 weeks so I guess it's not tooooo far off.
We did too, we went to a place in Costa Mesa I think. We were 13 weeks as well.
