What's the easiest carrier to buy to do this and how easy is it? Also, doesn't the fact that you have to stop and burp the baby afterwards negate the whole convenience factor?

I think "easiest" is a factor of personal opinion, personal preference, age of baby, shape of momma (amount of breast tissue, etc.), modesty requirements, etc.

Baby is 3 weeks old, would like to be able to nurse discretely in public/when I take baby to work with it. Boobs are a B cup
Here are my humble opinions for a squishy that age (with no head control).
Pouch--It can be done, but it's difficult.
Ring sling--It's great!!! You can do an kind of upright cradle carry then use the tail as a cover.
Mei tai--It can be done fairly easily.
SSC--I think these are generally not the best for tiny babies anyway. I also think that nursing in one is difficult.
Wraps--Stretchy wraps are easy to nurse in if you're comfortable with wrapping, in general. Woven wraps can have a bit of a learning curve for nursing.
I'm interested in hearing what others think.

I never did it when Sophia was small, she was too spitty for that. Now that she is older I can nurse on the go discreetly in my ergo, I just close the sleep hood and nobody can see what is going on. No burping required either at her age.
I just saw your reply with baby's age. When she was that little, I used the RS but had to sit down, position her properly, hide with the tail. When she was done, I burped her, put her back in tummy to tummy and and went back to whatever I was doing. I never mastered the on the go with a newborn. But like I said, she was also very spitty.
