Love my oxo bottle brush, but it's started to discolor at the base of the bristles (mold? rust?). I've tried the dishwasher, the steam cleaning bags, boiling, vinegar and baking soda.... how do I clean this damn thing? Seems like a waste to throw it out, especially because it works so well, but it's getting grungy!

Yep, sorry.

It's not even the $5 I'm mad about, it's all such a waste of plastic and resources. Drives me nuts that such heavy plastics are MEANT to be thrown out.
